Experience Augmented Reality (AR) with the new Buffalo Futurism app! Narrated by Joely BigEagle-Kequahtooway, Buffalo Futurism will transport you to an Indigenous futuristic park where you'll walk among digital Buffalo, crocuses, tipis, zombies and more while listening to stories about the significance of Tatanga.
Buffalo Futurism is a geo-located augmented reality experience in māmowimīwēyitamōwin Park (formerly Regent Pool Park) in Regina, Saskatchewan. To experience Buffalo Futurism, please follow these steps:
Step 1. Scan one of the QR codes below(or tap if on mobile devices) to download the Buffalo Futurism app.
Step 2. Go to māmowimīwēyitamōwin Park (3600 McKinley Avenue) and look for the Buffalo Effigy sign on the west side of the park near the spray pad.
Step 3. Open the app and follow the prompts on your device to begin the journey. For an immersive experience, please consider u sing headphones/earbuds.

The App requires several permissions granted by you for augmented reality (AR) purposes limited to the device’s location and camera feed. The data is strictly used locally on the device to allow for AR tracking and for the app to function. The camera feed and location data are not sent over the Internet by the App.
Common Weal does not collect any personal data or information that can be used to identify you or your device when you use the App. We do not collect your name, email address, or device identification.
Common Weal collects and saves some information automatically: the data is purely anonymous usage data and is strictly used for analytical reasons to offer insights on the general usage of the app, including providing statistics regarding the number of people using the App. The data cannot be used to identify you or your device. We use Google Analytics to collect this information.
